Looking Back on 2011
Looking back on 2011, it's been a pretty awesome year for me. I have no complaints at all. Life can be hard but live and love like today is your last.
I remember in January of 2008 when I lost my Dad how I felt so empty inside. It was like somebody had carved me out like a pumpkin and I just couldn’t fill it back up. I’ve been seeing a lot of loss recently. I know how hard it is when you lose someone close to you and I also know that it can eat away at you and that’s all you think about for a really long time. Kansas Speedway Oct 7 ARCA Race
I hate early mornings but this one was so worth getting up at 3:30am. Friday, Oct 7th, Rocky picked me up at 5am so I could catch a flight to Kansas City from Charlotte. I slept the first leg into Chicago then caught a flight into Kansas City and got there around 11:30am. What a crazy last couple days. I can’t wait to write a book, I’m serious. I can’t wait to put all of this down on paper. How Come I Haven't Always Known This?
Why doesn't life come with a manual? I mean really, I'd like to be able to have known the things I know now when I was a teenager. It really should be electrontic so that you can just google up the answer, not a computer where everything else gets in your way and distracts you.
